Nicegram as a Source for Organic and Paid Traffic

Nicegram as a Source for Organic and Paid Traffic

Telegram is a messenger with open-source client applications. The server side is, of course, closed to the public, but a similar client can be deployed with the help of developers. That's why dozens of Telegram "clones" exist on the market today.

Today we've prepared an overview of one of the most popular TG forks — Nicegram. We analyzed its features and the potential for building traffic acquisition funnels.

Nicegram Features

Nicegram is a messenger built on the Telegram API, featuring multi-account support, an AI assistant, and a built-in cold crypto wallet. Your TG accounts, chats, and channels remain the same — just with extended capabilities. The repository is public on GitHub and open-source.

Nicegram launched in 2019. Initially it was an independent project by a small team. By the time it was acquired by Appvillis in May 2022, MAU had reached 1.7 million.

By the end of 2023, Nicegram crossed the 25 million user mark — a 10x organic growth following the ownership change, with an engagement rate of 89% and an average usage time of 5 hours. According to SemRush data, the core audience is concentrated in Malaysia, India, and the US, plus Asia and MENA, where Telegram is the primary messenger.

Unlike Telegram, which limits users to 3 accounts in the mobile app, Nicegram allows managing dozens or even hundreds of profiles simultaneously. For affiliates working with farms, this is already the killer feature.

The app includes a built-in AI assistant called Lily with access to GPT-5, DeepSeek, Gemini, and Claude, a translator without Telegram Premium, a Double Bottom feature for hidden chats, call recording, and the ability to send gallery videos in round format. And most importantly — a non-custodial Web3 wallet with TON and EVM support.

Additional features include account registration date visibility, reaction hiding, the ability to mention all group members in a single request, in-chat audio-to-text conversion. And there are no geo-restrictions on chat blocking.

Nicegram as a Traffic Source

Nicegram is interesting not only as a functional Telegram alternative, but as a potential traffic source — it has an international user base. It's a niche ecosystem with a loyal and tech-savvy audience that came for specific features.

From the Netpeak case study, we know that the bulk of traffic comes from branded queries: direct keywords plus searches for Telegram alternatives. Among the most obvious traffic-driving solutions is UBT. Channel networks or classic chat spam can be used.

Another solid option is Nicegram Ads. The platform offers a reach of 3+ million users, approximately 85% of whom are iOS users and 15% Android. Available GEOs include the US, Brazil, Vietnam, Turkey, the UK, France, India, and other markets.

Ad integrations are placed within the messenger's interface, which improves creative performance. A referral program is also available: a partner receives 10% of their referrals' ad spend. Earned funds can be withdrawn or used for your own campaigns.

There are no publicly available stats on traffic volumes and CPM in Nicegram Ads. However, it's known that setting up an ad account is much simpler compared to Telegram Ads. And there are no endless agencies taking 20–50% in commissions. That said, the target audience is significantly smaller than in TG.

For Tier 1–2, Nicegram is an interesting and non-obvious traffic source. It can also be used for account farms for UBT and other tasks. Thanks to multi-account support and extended profile management capabilities, it offers more infrastructure flexibility than Telegram.
