BC.GAME Enters the Nigerian Market After Obtaining a License

Crypto casino BC.GAME has officially entered the Nigerian market after receiving a license to operate online casino and sports betting services from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority.

Following the regulatory approval, the company launched a localized platform at the domain bcbet(.)ng, targeting users in Nigeria. One of the key market-facing changes was the platform's introduction of deposits in the local currency — the Nigerian naira — which lowers the barrier to entry for local players and simplifies access to the product for a new audience.

According to market estimates, Nigeria generates approximately $1.17 billion in gross gaming revenue from online gambling annually, with that figure projected to grow to nearly $2.5 billion by 2030, making it one of the fastest-growing iGaming markets in Africa.

Nigeria became the second jurisdiction where the platform has secured a local license and is officially operating within a regulated environment. The first such market was Kenya, where the operator also completed the licensing process and adapted its products to meet local requirements.

The Nigerian market is widely regarded as one of the most promising in Africa for the iGaming sector, driven by a large young population (over 60% of residents are under 25), widespread adoption of mobile payments, and rapid growth in online entertainment. Securing a license in Lagos therefore opens the door for BC.GAME not only to operate legally in the region, but also to gradually scale its presence across other African markets.
