Industry Leaders Back Upcoming SiGMA North America Launch in Mexico

SiGMA North America 2026

Ahead of SiGMA North America 2026 — set to take place in Mexico City for the first time — leading industry figures are joining the project as summit ambassadors. The confirmed lineup includes C-level executives, company founders, and subject-matter experts operating across the iGaming markets of North and Latin America.

SiGMA North America 2026 will run from September 1 to 3, 2026, in Mexico City. The Centro Banamex convention center will serve as the main gathering point for the region's iGaming industry. Organizers expect over 4,000 delegates, 1,000 operators, more than 150 speakers, and over 200 exhibitors and sponsors — with C-suite executives accounting for more than 40% of the audience.

Who are the first ten summit ambassadors?

Javier Troncoso, Co-Founder and CEO of InsightPlay.ai — a technology partner helping operators with player acquisition and retention. Troncoso is developing an AI agent-based platform that automates, analyzes, and personalizes operational processes.

David Fica, Co-Founder of Land Vegas Group — an entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years of experience. He is building Land Vegas Group at the intersection of immersive solutions, virtual reality, the metaverse, and the entertainment industry.

Steven Crystal, Founder and CEO of SCCG Management. With over 30 years of industry experience, his background spans legal work with public and private companies, casino management in Las Vegas, and roles as an investor and advisor on financing, M&A transactions, and gaming technology development — totaling over $2 billion.

Felipe Fraga, CBO of Stellar Gaming. He combines a legal background specializing in public and sports law with business development expertise and a deep understanding of Brazil's gambling regulation — one of the most dynamic markets in the region.

Iliana Maria Pineda Echeverri, Legal and Compliance Director at Wplay — one of Colombia's leading operators. A lawyer with over 20 years of experience, she oversees legal support and compliance at the company.

Fernando Garita, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Kabata Group — a firm specializing in consulting, deal advisory, brand representation, and strategic development for international companies in Latin America.

Juan Pablo Baraona, LATAM Regional Director at BETBY. His expertise spans sales, marketing, management, and technology, making him one of the most recognizable figures in the regional industry.

Elizabeth Maya Cano, President of Cornazar, a Colombian association representing entrepreneurs and licensed operators. Her public-facing work focuses on engagement between the industry, regulators, and government institutions.

Gonzalo Perez, CEO of Apuesta Total, one of Peru's leading sports betting and online casino operators, active since 2016. Perez addresses issues of competition, taxation, and industry development following Peru's transition to a regulated model.

Rosa Ochoa, Founder and Strategic Advisor at Blue Global Gaming, specializing in online gambling, technology, and business development in Mexico and Latin America. She brings over 20 years of experience, including business planning, client relations, local market launches, and partnerships with international gaming and lottery companies.

Ambassadors in the conference program

The summit will feature a two-day conference program dedicated to the key markets and trends shaping the future of gambling across North and Latin America.

Several of the newly appointed ambassadors have already been confirmed as speakers.

On day one, Javier Troncoso will take part in the panel "Predictive Play: The Future of AI-Driven Personalization," exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on player experience, responsible gambling, and real-time personalization.

David Fica will join the panel "Import Barriers: What's Holding Back Land-Based Gambling in Mexico," focused on regulatory transitions, customs delays, and import controls affecting casino operators and suppliers.

Rosa Ochoa and Iliana Maria Pineda Echeverri will speak on the panel "48 Hours to Crisis: How Crises Unfold in Mexico and Latin America's iGaming Industry," covering regulatory shifts, payment challenges, affiliate management, and crisis management across the region.

On day two, Steven Crystal will participate in the discussion "Regulation and Revenue: The Affiliate Program Ecosystem Across North American States and Provinces," while Felipe Fraga will deliver the keynote "LATAM's Mobile Audience: How to Win the Next 50 Million iGaming Players."

What else is in store for SiGMA North America attendees

The ambassador announcements reflect the broader development strategy for SiGMA North America 2026. The Mexico City summit will take place five months after BiS SiGMA South America 2026 in São Paulo, giving the industry two major regional events within a single year.

Brazil remains SiGMA's primary hub in South America, while Mexico is becoming the group's flagship North American venue — oriented toward Spanish-speaking markets, cross-border expansion, and companies operating simultaneously across Latin America, the US, and Canada.

The September calendar also allows attendees to combine multiple major industry events into a single trip. From September 1 to 3, Centro Banamex will host SiGMA North America with a three-day program of conferences, an exhibition, and networking.

The agenda already includes SiGMA Pitch North America, where ten selected startups will present their projects to investors, business leaders, and venture capitalists, as well as the SiGMA North America Awards ceremony on September 1 — an evening recognizing outstanding iGaming companies and professionals.

Beyond the main program, attendees can look forward to networking dinners, cultural tours, off-site events, and VIP formats across Mexico City. Following the summit, SiGMA Group will host an Affiliate Retreat in Cancún from September 4 to 6, bringing together 50 top affiliates in an informal setting. Then, on September 7–8, iStack will host Affiliate World Americas in Cancún — completing a full September itinerary for companies working in performance marketing.

Further program details, panels, and speakers will be announced closer to the event on the official summit page and through SiGMA News coverage.

The starting gun has been fired in Mexico City. SiGMA North America runs September 1–3, 2026: 4,000 delegates, three days of deals, insights, and new business opportunities. Join the industry leaders and secure your spot now.
