OpenI closes Mora - An AIC Video generator has been working for less than a year
The OpenAl Company announced the closing of Soa, the decision was reported in official accounts on March 24, 2026.

It's not just about the individual instrument, it's about the complete folding of the ecosystem: it stops the work of the standalone- app for the developers, it's also about integrating video software into other services. So there was less than a year -- there was a public launch at the end of 2024th. Despite the great interest in technology, the company decided to collapse the direction through a set of factors.
Key reasons include changing strategic focus. OpenAl redistributing resources to corporate decisions, developers and development ecosystems around ChatGPT. And the important part was that the video generation required significant resources.
The additional factor was competition from other AIB companies, including Google and Anthroopic, and also increased pressure due to legal and ethical risks. Mora was regularly critical because of the capacity to create dippies and use protected content.
Within a new strategy, the company plans to focus on developing "postop" on the ChatGPT base, tools for developers and research in the world's simulations, including robotics. Closing the product also means finishing the partnership plans with large media companies, including Discovery.
