EU Tightens Pressure on Crypto Market: USDT and Binance Under Threat

The European crypto market continues to adapt to the new requirements of the MiCA regulation. Due to the absence of proper authorization from the USDT stablecoin issuer, a number of crypto exchanges have already begun restricting or delisting trading pairs with this asset for users from EU countries. Once the transitional period ends on July 1, such restrictions could become even more widespread.

The situation is further complicated by Binance's position. According to Reuters, the company risks losing the ability to officially serve clients in the European Union due to difficulties obtaining a MiCA license in Greece. If the approval is not secured before the deadline, the exchange may face restrictions on operating in the region.

At the same time, Binance stated that it continues to work with regulators and remains committed to the European market. The company promised to provide additional clarifications for users by June 30 and assured that it is doing everything possible to maintain access to its services within the framework of the new rules.
